First one since I started at Dyn, so it was nice to relax a bit. I never heard back last week after asking if it was cool to write back this week, so I assume that wasn't an issue. Again, thanks for the interest. Typically the smallest of users would start at the $195/mo price point as that is our "listed" entry level package allowing up to 1 QPS. I will say that we have had very small customers, or customers in beta, that are much lower than the 1 QPS allotment that we will open up special off list $95/mo pricing that includes 1/4 QPS. Kind of like one of the "In N Out" secret menu items, i.e. animal style, protein style etc. :) We also offer a no obligation two week trial period with full access to all services for new opportunities looking to potentially utilized the Dynect Platform. This is a live network account that we simply rename once a customer signs on with us. We are relatively flexible with the number of domains. Each sales rep has some flexibility and wiggle room to allow for more zones and records if need be. Quote Two: Includes up to 100 zones, 5000 resource records Quote Three: Includes up to 100 zones, 5000 resource records You've nailed the billing model on its head on all fronts. The reason we do it that way is that is how we're billed by our upstream bandwidth providers. We thought it would be a straightforward way to price out and invoice our customers. Our overages are based off of 5 QPS packs and those are billed at an additional $75/mo for each pack regardless of scope of deal. The reason it's the same for all is because our account management teams core job responsibility is to help customers scale, avoid overages, and see price breaks for larger packages. We're engaged with all of our customers in helping them avoid overages and bump up in package. Affordable, scaling, consistent pricing is a large competitive advantage for us. It's not easy, but we've seen great success to date. You're very welcome. I'm not joking when I say we're psyched you're making this happen and creating this site. Can't wait to see you and your team come out from behind the curtain. I looked for you to connect up on LinkedIn, but unfortunately couldn't find you. Do you utilize LinkedIn for business networking? I'd love to connect up on there. Please let me know if we can provide anything else to you at all.
